Ethics

My process, principles, values, and mission. I carry these thoughts into every team I collaborate with. They are my compass for my pursuit of excellence in all things.

My Mission

I’m passionate about bringing vision to reality, focused on meaningful ideas, applying excellence in craft, to build impactful experiences, that help business grow, and make the world a better place.

Multi-disciplinary
Design includes all brand touchpoints and interactions with a product.

Shared ownership
Everyone is responsible for what is delivered to customers and users.

Inclusive
Design isn’t only for designers. Everyone should practice design thinking.

Visual Principles

Beauty’s the key
Makers and users should love what is made for a long time. Beauty isn’t luxury.

Minimalism = usability

Remove all unnecessary things to make an experience as simple as possible.

Utility in ambiguity
Avoid constraints early, allowing seemingly improbable ideas to surface.

Modularity
Design indpendent parts, with standard interfaces so people can customize and contribute.

Explore options
There are many solutions to every problem. The 1st usually isn’t the best.

Least effort
Choose the easiest path to accomplish a goal. Outcomes should feel effortless.

Unity
Design should cohesively fit together to improve UX and help teams build.

Don’t please everyone
Design can't be attractive to all people but should never fall out of principles.

Sustainability
Design to minimize impact on the environment and improve quality of life.

Collaboration

The golden rule
Treat others as you would have them treat you.

Meaningful work
Meaning increases performance, commitment, and satisfaction.

Impact
Work should positively impact your workplace, customers, and the world.

Fairness
Be impartial and just without playing favorites or discriminating.

Humility
Be grounded in self-awareness and able to admit our faults.

Forgiveness
Extend forgiveness if someone admits wrong-doing and is willing to change.

Agency
Have influence in your work so that your vision, if correct, can be actualized.

Autonomy
Be able to execute ideas, even if that means we have to live with mistakes.

Thoroughness
Do the work required to finish a job correctly or we incure debt to pay later.
